{"id":186,"date":"2023-11-17T23:37:53","date_gmt":"2023-11-17T23:37:53","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/192.138.189.32\/~kurbordy\/?page_id=186"},"modified":"2024-07-15T00:51:10","modified_gmt":"2024-07-15T00:51:10","slug":"about-lizett-trujillo","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/withlizett.com\/?page_id=186","title":{"rendered":"About Me"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" style=\"font-size:38px;line-height:1.4\"><strong>You could say that my career journey started at my parent\u2019s restaurant bussing tables when I was twelve.<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-8f761849 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"font-size:18px\">I was a server nights and weekends while completing junior high and high school. I learned how to be resourceful, resilient, patient, customer oriented, charming of course, and most of all &#8211; I gained a <strong>strong work ethic<\/strong>. I witnessed how hard it was to make a living when one\u2019s access to education is limited especially for women. The women in my life were strong and persevering but their job opportunities were limited. I became motivated to <strong>find another path<\/strong>. I was accepted into a pre-college program where I learned about higher education. I believed <em><strong>education is the great equalizer<\/strong> <\/em>so I pursued my bachelor\u2019s degree. After transferring from community colleges, digging for financial aid, holding jobs, and changing majors my senior year\u2026 I earned a B.S.B.A. Following graduation, I took a big risk to leave small town Arkansas for Los Angeles to work as an <strong>IT consultant<\/strong>. My time at there was intense and I leveled up professionally but I still felt like something was missing &#8211; I wanted to travel. So I packed my bags and went abroad.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"font-size:18px\">When I returned, I wanted to diversify my skills and start a project from the ground up which led to <strong>creating a sustainable wrist watch company<\/strong>. I acquired branding and financial operational skills. Even though the company was profitable, something was still missing in my career. I learned about social entrepreneurship and participated in a volunteer program in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. I was passionate about <strong>leveraging business as a force for good<\/strong>. Afterwards, I was thrilled to land an IT consultant position for a B-corp in Cincinnati where I could use my IT management skills for an organization that gives back to the community. After that, I landed at a digital marketing agency where I help clients build their brands and launch websites. I\u2019m <strong>honored to be part of the agency\u2019s leadership team<\/strong> where I enjoy solving an array of business challenges.
